The MiRuntime theme targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as an engineering requirement for navigation, research, diagrams, code, forms, themes, and reduced-motion behavior.
Implemented features
- Semantic landmarks, heading order, skip link, breadcrumbs, and descriptive page titles.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, native disclosure elements, command search, tabs, filters, and dialog focus management.
- Visible focus indicators and non-color status labels.
- Dark and light themes with system preference support.
- Reduced-motion behavior and static text equivalents for diagrams.
- Responsive tables, code blocks, and touch targets.
- Print and reading-oriented article layouts.
Testing
The source release passes automated static validation, responsive browser interaction checks, and bundled axe-core fixture scans at mobile and desktop sizes with zero WCAG-tagged violations. Those results are evidence for the packaged templates, not a conformance certification. A production WordPress deployment should still run live axe, Lighthouse, screen-reader, zoom and reflow, keyboard-only, and form tests with the final content, plugins, mail, cache, and hosting configuration.
Known deployment responsibilities
Site operators remain responsible for accessible content entered through WordPress, plugin output, captions and alternatives for future media, translated content, server error pages, and any third-party forms or embeds.
